Soft Fard dates for every day

Fard dates sit between soft and semi-dry varieties: tender enough to enjoy on their own, firm enough to stuff, chop or bake with. Their mild sweetness and value-friendly price make them a popular everyday date in Indian homes.

How to enjoy Fard dates

• As a daily snack – a few dates with nuts or tea.
• In cooking – chopped into kheer, ladoos, chutneys and bakes. See our date & coconut ladoo.
• For guests and festivals – serve in a bowl or add to a dates gift box.

Fard or another variety?

Choose Fard for soft dates with a mild sweetness at an everyday price. For very soft, dark dates try Kimia; for firmer golden dates try Zahidi. Compare all varieties in our dates collection, or read our guide to the types of dates in India.
